What We Do
The Sharpest Pencil provides a full range of Technical Design services, including 2D and 3D modeling, site surveys, drafting, and detailing. We collaborate with designers, fabricators, end clients and subcontractors to create and communicate solutions. We use expertise in CAD software, as well as a strong collaborative spirit to make every project a success!

Who We Are
The Sharpest Pencil LLC was founded in 2019 by Will Burns. Will began his career swinging a hammer in the Chicago off-loop theater community before expanding into museums, corporate presentations, trade shows, broadcast television, special events, and even the occasional stage show! Clients include Royal Caribbean, Chicago Field Museum, American Writer’s Museum, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Samsung, Chicago Bulls, Mascot Hall of Fame, TD Ameritrade. Will lives in Minneapolis with his wife and dog/unpaid intern Dudley.
